Job Description

We are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant (9 months May 2020 - Jan 2021) to join our busy group finance team in Cambridge.

The Assistant Accountant has overall responsibility for the UK, financial processing and reporting. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Monthly balance sheet and sub-ledger reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly trial balance
  • Maintenance of tangible and intangible fixed assets and cash schedules
  • Preparation and posting of monthly journals
  • Preparing payment lists for bi-monthly payment runs
  • Perform regulatory and compliance activities including VAT, P11Ds
  • Management of queries from external and internal stakeholders
  • Other ad hoc analysis and projects as required by the business.

Qualifications

  • Graduate / AAT qualified / PQ ACCA or equivalent
  • Sound MS Excel skills
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Sage or similar accounting software
