Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented Bonus Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate calculation, administration, and monitoring of our bonus programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of financial principles.

This position is open to candidates in the Seattle area. You will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule where you will work from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.

 

What you will do:

  • Bonus Model Development and Maintenance:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain complex bonus models to align with business objectives and compensation strategies.
    • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Finance to ensure models are accurate, consistent, and compliant with relevant regulations.
    • Regularly review and update models to reflect changes in business performance and compensation policies.
  • Bonus Calculation and Administration:
    • Calculate and process bonuses for eligible employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
    • Verify data accuracy and identify and resolve discrepancies.
    • Prepare detailed reports and analysis on bonus payouts and trends.
  • Bonus Plan Monitoring and Analysis:
    • Monitor the effectiveness of bonus plans and identify areas for improvement.
    • Analyze historical bonus data to identify trends and patterns.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with bonus policies and procedures.
  • Employee Communication and Education:
    • Develop clear and concise communication materials to explain bonus plans and eligibility criteria to employees.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance employee understanding of bonus programs.
    • Address employee inquiries and concerns related to bonus calculations and payouts.
    • Utilize HRIS systems and other relevant tools to streamline bonus processes.

 

Experience you have:

  • 2-3 years of experience in an analytical field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience working with sensitive data

  • Knowledge of internal data auditing, and audit design
  • An ability to communicate information across different audiences
  • An interest in designing compensation programs that work for all stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000, on a full-time schedule.
  • Along with base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.
  • We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion’s success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.
