Position Summary:

The Growth Insights team at Trupanion is looking for a curious and pet loving analytics manager to join our team. As a Data Insights Manager, you will play a key role in uncovering actionable, data-driven insights for growth strategy. This is a hand-on leadership role that requires a blend of strategic thinking, team management and individual contribution through inquiry, data collection, analysis and communication. Successful candidates will have unbridled curiosity, enjoy solving complex problems and share our love of data and pets! 

This position is a hybrid role open to candidates in the Seattle area, working at least three days out of our casual and pet friendly Seattle office per week.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and mentor a team of data analysts to deliver high-quality, actionable insights that inform business strategy and decision making
  • Collaborate closely with growth and marketing leaders to continually refine our strategy based on data insights
  • Foster effective working relationships with business partners to identify key business questions and design analyses to inform them
  • Ability to see to the core of a problem, understanding the “why” behind a question
  • Extract and reconcile data from our robust data warehouse or identify and strategize new data to be collected through third-party partnerships, surveys, and more
  • Apply advanced statistical and analytical techniques to derive meaning from data with a focus on impact and action

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience of data analysis including extraction, manipulation, analysis, and presentation
  • 3+ years leading or mentoring junior analysts
  • 3+ years using data to drive strategy

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Experience providing actionable data-driven insights to business leaders
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on analysis
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Highly driven and motivated to work nimbly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques including statistical analysis and forecasting
  • Advanced experience with data visualization platforms (Tableau preferred)

Compensation:

  • The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 on a full-time schedule
  • Along with the base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.
  • We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion’s success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.
