Position Summary:

The Growth Insights team at Trupanion is looking for a curious and pet loving reporting analyst to join our team. As a reporting analyst, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a Tableau reporting suite to monitor performance and inform strategy of our largest sales channel. Successful candidates will have unbridled curiosity, enjoy building intuitive dashboards and share our love of data and pets!

This position is a hybrid role open to candidates in the Seattle area, working at least three days out of our casual and pet friendly Seattle office per week.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Create new dashboards through gathering business requirements, building new data sources and designing user-friendly Tableau dashboards
  • Revise and enhance existing dashboards emphasizing usability, accuracy and stability
  • Infuse dashboards with automated data alerts, drawing attention to emerging trends and away from noise
  • Research and resolve data discrepancies and notify appropriate individuals
  • Analyze trends and provide recommendations for strategic improvements
  • Provide users with training and support on the use of reporting tools and dashboards

Experience:

  • 2+ years' experience in data analysis, reporting and data visualization
  • 2+ years' experience of data extraction and manipulation (eg SQL)
  • 2+ years' experience designing and publishing dashboards with Tableau server

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Adept at building intuitive and performant Tableau dashboards, considering the audience and intended use throughout dashboard design
  • Experience creating performant data sources for ongoing reports
  • Experience successfully balancing conflicting stakeholder needs for a single, scalable solution
  • Adept at communicating data clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences
  • Highly driven and motivated to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Flexibility to work independently and in a team-based environment

Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000
  • Along with the base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses
  • We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion’s success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.
