Job Description

TrueTandem is seeking an experienced mid-level Web Developer who specializes in development of web applications using a client–server model with an Azure Cloud platform. Primary candidates must be able to work the Project from a full SDLC perspective on the front -and back-ends, have experience working and meeting with clients/customer and end users to define, confirm and document the Project’s business requirements and needs. 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in website development, data analytics, and an interest in building dynamic web-based tools.  Primary candidates must have worked federal agency projects and possess an active Secret government security clearance. 

NOTE:  The project can be worked remotely, but may also require on-site work in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

Primary candidates will have the following skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in responsive web site development (front- and back-ends)
  • Experience working on federal agency projects (Department of Defense preferred) along with possessing an active Secret security clearance
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, PHP 7.4, MySQL 5.29, and JavaScript
  • Proficient in JavaScript / jQuery and experience with other JavaScript libraries such as NodeJS or Vue.js is a plus.
  • Experience with CMS systems (WordPress, Drupal and SharePoint)
  • Working knowledge of MS TFS, GIT and Azure source control and code versioning tools
  • Understanding of accessibility best practices – WCAG 2.1 AA compliance
  • Able to recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions
  • Ability to perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and make corrections and address buggs/issues, as needed
  • Provide Project documentation and end-user training
  • Ability to work with cybersecurity IT Project staff and STIGs to meet federal agency security IT requirements
  • Ability to work independently and remotely and complete projects on deadline
  • Knowledge of interface design for web applications and user-centered design principles is preferred/a plus.

Additional Information

The client site is Metro Washington DC area, so candidates must reside in the area in order to perform on-site project requirements, but  some teleworking may be allowed as well.
