Job Description

The True Food Kitchen Benefits Specialist will work with restaurant management and True Central team members to ensure enrollment and accurate completion of benefits for all employees. This position will help with reporting and other benefit programs such as Unemployment, Hourly ACA Eligibility, Perkspot. This is a full-time position in the True Food Kitchen home office in Phoenix, AZ, reporting to the Sr Manager of Compensation & Benefits.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Manage the ACA eligibility calculation for hourly employees on a monthly basis. This will include running reports to determine who is eligible, updating eligibility in Paycom, and communicating benefit eligibility to employees
  • Assist Manager with Open Enrollment by reviewing / approving benefit changes and tracking enrollments for reporting.
  • Manage all Qualifing Life Events and COBRA Events
  • Manage medical support orders by tracking, updating, and working with agencies as needed
  • Communicates the benefits programs, orients new employees and resolves employee questions and problems by interpreting benefits policies and procedures.
  • Assisting manager with other benefit programs and reporting such as PerkSpot
  • Administering the wellness programs and incentives. Assist with creating communications to employees and reporting.
  • Working with Equifax on unemployment claims.  Answering claims on a daily basis and working with restaurant management when additional information is needed.
  • Assist Manager with all Leave of Absence reporting which includes tracking leaves, following up with employees, and communicating with management
  • Ability to work on larger ongoing projects and time-sensitive requests simultaneously; pivots quickly when necessary; and maintains an upbeat and positive attitude, at all times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is suggested.
  • 1 – 2 years of experience ein related field.
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • HRIS experience and / or technical aptitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential as this position is required to develop and maintain relationships with others.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and flexible when it comes to re-prioritizing tasks due to business demands.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
