Job Description

Position Summary

True Food Kitchen is looking for a dynamic, results-driven Marketing Brand Manager.  The Marketing Manager is responsible for the management of all local store marketing programs and initiatives for all 35+ True Food Kitchen locations.  The Marketing Manager will oversee the local store marketing plan for each brand, working closely with store Operations team to drive traffic, increase brand awareness and support sales growth across all stores.  He or she is also responsible for the planning, development and execution of new restaurant grand opening activities in coordination with PR Agencies, Operations and marketing teams.  The position requires strong management, organization, creativity, restaurant industry knowledge, planning, production, and partnership experience to ensure all projects are executed with exceptional quality and efficiencies. This is a full-time position in the True Food Kitchen Corporate office, reporting to the Director of Marketing.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

Local Store Marketing & Sales-Driving Initiatives

  • Develop, manage and execute strategic local store marketing plans for each restaurant with marketing and Operations teams to support the overarching brand marketing plan (goals, creative, communication and results)
  • Identification of partnerships/ sponsorships; vet incoming leads and make informed recommendations for brand partnerships; ongoing outreach to local partners to ensure each store remains great community partners and/or identify how restaurants can strengthen partnerships
  • In partnership with restaurant operations team, identify strategies to support local sales and growth; outline sales goals and metrics for success; measure qualitative and quantitative sales/results of all marketing programs
  • Ongoing communication with store managers and regional directors to keep operations teams updated on marketing’s initiatives + promotions; provide operations teams with program / promotion recap summaries including sales results
  • Regular communication updates to local PR agencies regarding all local store events, programs and activities to increase local / national exposure
  • Manage schedule and promote seasonal menu changes in coordination with culinary and operations teams and communicate updates to marketing and design teams
  • Plan and promote for all local store events (in-store and off-site)
  • Visit store locations regularly to remain current on operations, culinary and store team updates
  • Assist General Managers in understanding best practices for Local Store Marketing through education and continuous support and communication

 

New Restaurant Openings

  • Management of new store opening marketing plan for each store location
  • Ongoing communication with property marketing teams to identify opportunities for cross-promotions, event partnerships, etc.

 

Communication

  • Ongoing communication to operations and marketing teams to summarize local store marketing initiatives
  • Draft and distribute promotional memos that communicate logistics and plans for local store promotions; draft and distribute promotional recaps that analyze sales goals and results
  • Regular communication with PR agencies to make sure that each store’s ongoing initiatives are included in the ongoing media outreach strategy
  • Ensure consistency of brand message development across all communication channels including in-store, online/digital, advertising, promotional collateral, social media, e-blasts, etc.
  • Provide direction to design and copywriter to ensure all local store marketing creative is representative of the brand – tone, voice, personality, and values
  • Management of brand website, blog content and schedule of content calendar
  • Ensure participating events are in line with brand values

Qualifications

  • 4+ years’ experience in marketing practice of an agency or corporate/in-house; restaurant /hospitality marketing experience preferred
  • Proven track record in developing and executing 360-degree marketing programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written communications skills including strategic plans, creative copywriting and editing
  • Outstanding attention to project details, sincere enthusiasm, keen organization, ease of multi-tasking and a natural ability to be a team player 
  • Self-motivated, creative and results-oriented
  • Ability to understand and analyze sales figures, results and trends
  • Experienced in managing many projects with shifting deadlines
  • Resourceful, solutions-oriented and organized
  • Strategic thinker; nimble and responds quickly and positively to change
  • Interested in and available to travel (required)
