Job Description

Admin:

  • Bridges the administrative gap between culinary standards, creative development and daily business operations.
  • Aides in planning, coordinating and executing various culinary development and educational activities for culinary teams. 
  • Ensure all recipes, procedures, and training materials are accurate and current.
  • Aides in scheduling, hosting, note taking and meeting planning
  • Aides in developing operational systems through clear written procedures and training. 
  • Actively manages calendar ensuring there are no conflicts while supporting the day to day needs and operations run smoothly
  • Following up with teams to ensure completion of previously agreed action items
  • Partner with the recruiting team to coordinate interviews
  • Department budget administration and support including making purchases using department purchase card
  • Demonstrate leadership mindset – ability to influence culture/environment around you
  • Department initiatives and projects tracked; outstanding action item follow-up and status reports to manager
  • Reference documents created, maintained and updated for department use
  • Accurate databases created, maintained and updated for department use
  • Problem solving orientation – Identify and solve problems creatively and innovate solutions

 

Culinary:

  • Partners with the brand chef on all creative process and innovation needs, reviews recipes and procedures for consistency and quality standards.
  • Conducts performance and yield analysis test for all new and current ingredients under review.
  • Works with brand chef on all projects, special events and needs.
  • Aides in coordinating new restaurant opening culinary planning & communications.
  • Responds quickly and positively to any internal culinary related requests or any special requests from our guests.
  • Understanding of the highest quality and sanitation practices.

 

Qualifications

 

  • 3- 5 years restaurant experience, preferably in structured kitchen environment
  • Must possess exceptional written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal and motivational skills, the ability to effectively supervise and instill cooperation in staff, and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Attention to detail, well organized and able to multi-task.  Prominent level of personal initiative, action and results oriented. Ability to deal with ambiguity and lead teams through critical transitions
  • Timely responses to emails and voicemails
  • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong training abilities
  • Photography/Videography skills a plus
