Marketing Coordinator Overview

The Marketing Coordinator will be an integral part of the True Food Kitchen marketing team with primary responsibilities to include: development and execution of the local store marketing plans for all 27 True Food Kitchen restaurants, brand management for Juby True (juice bar brand with 2 Arizona locations), digital asset management for online platforms, and assistance with new store opening tactical execution. This is a full-time position in the True Food Kitchen home office in Phoenix, Ariz., reporting to the Marketing Brand Manager.

TRUE FOOD KITCHEN

Roles & Responsibilities 

Local Store Marketing:

  • Create, manage & maintain the local store marketing calendar for all True Food Kitchen restaurants, inclusive of onsite/offsite events, restaurant weeks, community dinners, true wellness classes and property events.
  • Manage & execute all true wellness events (monthly fitness classes held inside our restaurants); create calendar for each restaurant, maintain communication between event/fitness partner and store team, manage invite distribution & RSVP’s.
  • Proactively recommend new events & activations to continue to grow our community partnerships & relationships with our guests.
  • Ongoing communication with restaurant’s property marketing/communication teams; update team with information on upcoming promotions/campaigns, seasonal menu changes, non-profit activations and local store marketing events.
  • Gift card donation & sponsorship requests: vet, manage and fulfill incoming donation and/or sponsorship requests from potential partners that fit within the brand’s budget and overall strategy.

New Store Openings

  • Assist Marketing Brand Manager with tactical responsibilities leading up to, during, and after a new restaurant opening, including competitive pricing analysis, assisting in local PR strategy execution, and digital channel updates.
  • Manage invite process for VIP events held prior to openings.
  • Develop 90 day post opening local store marketing plan for new store openings.

Digital Platform Management:

  • Ensure all True Food Kitchen locations across all digital platforms, both internal (True Food website and online ordering platform) and external (Yelp, Open Table, Google), are updated with accurate information and relevant promotional messaging.
  • Online Ordering: Manage product imagery prior to seasonal menu launches (ensure product imagery is resized and assigned to proper menu categories). Maintain communications with online ordering partner on upcoming new store openings.
  • Maintain monthly calendar of messaging for in-store receipts & digital platforms.

Public Relations

  • Media Alerts: Distribute earned media coverage to appropriate parties and record coverage for internal use.
  • Media Requests & Reservations: Communicate media RSVP information to appropriate store team and create reservations in Open Table.
  • Work with Culinary Assistant & Marketing Brand Manager on recipe & interview requests from media.

JUBY TRUE

Roles & Responsibilities

Promotion Planning & Execution

  • Responsible for development and execution of Juby True’s annual marketing calendar, monthly campaigns & promotions, in-store collateral, digital promotion & store communication.
  • Development of monthly eBlast calendar to support promotions, campaigns & seasonal menu rollouts.

Social Media Management

  • Ownership of Juby True’s social media channels, including: social media calendar development, content/copy creation, photography and posting.
  • Community management, including: engagement with online community, responding to guest comments/questions, repost and like similar accounts.

PR

  • Ensure local PR agency has all information for monthly campaigns & promotions and is actively pitching media; share media alerts as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Communications, Marketing or Business.
  • 2-3 years of professional work experience, agency or in-house experience preferred. Passion for the restaurant industry and a keen understanding of traditional and digital marketing.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and flexible when it comes to re-prioritizing tasks due to business demands.
  • Ability to work well both cross-functionally and collaboratively as a team player and as a self-starter.
  • A proactive planner who asks probing questions for project clarity, anticipates potential roadblocks, and escalates project issues appropriately.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Experience with project management tools (Basecamp) is a plus.
