Job Description
Are you a parts professional ready to step into a leadership role without stepping away from the counter? TCI is looking for an Assistant Parts Manager – Retail who can run the day-to-day alongside our Parts Manager — and still be the person customers want to talk to when they need something fast.
Truck Centers, Inc. is opening our first stand-alone parts store and we are looking for a seasoned parts professional to help us get the store up and running and help lead the team! This position will have the opportunity to help us build this store from the ground up.
Shift Available:
- Monday-Friday, day shift
What You'll Do
This role is split between leading people and doing the work yourself. On any given day, that means:
- Running the parts counter - walk-ins, phone orders, parts ID, pricing, and transactions - with the kind of service that turns a first-time buyer into a regular
- Owning the warehouse: receiving shipments, maintaining bin locations, rotating stock, cycle counts, and keeping the space clean, organized, and safe
- Growing the customer base through outbound calls to fleets, repair shops, and owner-operators -following up on quotes, converting inquiries, and opening new accounts
- Overseeing invoicing, Parts Adjustment Requests (PAR), inventory levels, cores, and warranty recovery
- Staying current on DTNA, OEM, and company bulletins and making sure your team is trained on any process or policy changes
- Supporting compliance with applicable environmental and safety regulations
On the leadership side, you'll help the Parts Manager with scheduling, budgeting, performance evaluations, corrective action plans, and inventory reporting. You'll also coach and mentor counter staff, help them hit their goals, and grow professionally - and you'll represent the department with vendors, customers, and internal teams when needed.
