Job Description

Are you looking for an entry-level opportunity that can jumpstart a stable and rewarding career? Truck Centers, Inc. – South Bend is looking for a Body Shop Porter to join our Collision Center team! This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in keeping our shop running smoothly while gaining valuable experience in a heavy-duty truck body shop.

*This position will work Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

What You'll Do:

  • Keep the shop and campus clean, organized, and safe
  • Assist body shop technicians to help complete repairs efficiently
  • Wash and detail trucks after repairs, as well as new and used trucks as needed
  • Pick up and deliver parts from suppliers and trucks between our locations
  • Sort and properly dispose of recyclables, scrap metal, and waste
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred or ability to obtain one within 90 days is required)
  • Experience operating cleaning equipment and basic hand tools
  • Knowledge of shop safety policies
  • Fork truck certification and/or heavy equipment operation experience is a plus
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to help wherever needed
  • Must be willing to participate in a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
