Are you a seasoned collision repair leader looking for your next challenge? Truck Centers, Inc. is seeking a Body Shop Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a skilled team, and ensure best-in-class customer service at our South Bend, IN facility. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team – Supervise and support technicians, estimators, and administrative staff while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee all aspects of body shop operations – Manage the full repair process, from initial estimates and insurance approvals to final quality checks and customer delivery, ensuring efficiency and high-quality workmanship.
  • Ensure team members receive proper training and development – Implement structured training programs, mentor team members, and provide opportunities for professional growth to ensure industry best practices and evolving technologies are embraced.
  • Maintain compliance with company and OEM policies – Enforce manufacturer repair guidelines, warranty processes, and safety standards, ensuring all documentation and procedures are followed accurately.
  • Drive operational efficiency and shop performance – Set and monitor key performance metrics, develop strategies for process improvements, and implement corrective actions to maximize productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal departments – Work closely with Sales, Parts, and Service managers to align goals, share information, and ensure smooth interdepartmental coordination for seamless repairs and superior customer service.
  • Foster strong customer relationships – Act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication throughout the repair process, addressing concerns, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Manage shop resources and vendor relations – Research and select vendors for quality parts and materials, negotiate pricing, and oversee inventory management to control costs while maintaining top-tier service.
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment – Maintain a clean, well-equipped, and hazard-free shop area that meets all safety and compliance requirements. Conduct regular spot checks to uphold workplace standards.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • 5-10 years of experience in a leadership role within a collision repair or body shop setting
  • Strong knowledge of collision repair, truck systems, and dealership operations
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team 
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing budgets, analyzing data, and driving efficiency
  • Proficiency with computers, tablets, and MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Freightliner dealership experience
  • CIC Level I or II training
  • Kaizen and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
