Trowbridge & Trowbridge is seeking a Software Data Engineer to join our outstanding T&T team in San Diego, CA.
Position Description:
Position Responsibilities:
• Updating, creating and troubleshooting ETL scripts and data conditioning scripts for preparing data for analytical or operational uses.
• Create and maintain documentation related to data provenance and data conditioning rules.
• Execute and monitor ETL processes for various toolsets and datastores.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
• Good understanding of extract, transform and load tool and functions.
• Familiarity with REST-oriented APIs for creating and managing data integration jobs, and providing data analysts and business users with simplified access to prepared data sets.
• Possess strong problem solving skill set and the ability to learn new technologies quickly to meet dynamic, fast paced development cycles.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data sets a plus.
• Familiar programming languages as perl, shell script, Java and SQL.
• Knowledge of interfacing with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL data stores such as Accumulo and Solr.
Education and/or Certifications
• Bachelors and minimum of 2 years’ experience.
Clearance Requirements:
• US Citizen.
• Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain a Secret clearance). No clearance needed to start. Must be cleared for base access.
• Must be able to obtain a CAC.
• Location is at a Government Facility Located in San Diego, CA.
