Job Description

The Engineering Manager New Products leads a team of engineers responsible for developing new products from early design through production launch. This role ensures that every new product is engineered for performance, quality, and manufacturability while staying true to brand intent and design vision.

Working closely with Industrial Design, Project Management, Current Product Engineering, and the Asian Engineering Team, the New Products Engineering Team drives the engineering execution needed to bring Trove Brands’ next-generation products to life.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of New Product Engineers focused on executing new product development programs from concept through production.
  • Partner with Industrial Design to translate design intent into manufacturable and cost-effective solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong creative and conceptual abilities to originate new product ideas and engineering approaches that expand the brand’s innovation pipeline.
  • Oversee all phases of engineering development, including feasibility, detailed design, prototyping, testing, and validation.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to define project scope, resources, and timelines to ensure on-time and on-quality launches.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure production readiness and smooth handoff to Current Product Engineering.
  • Engage directly with suppliers and manufacturing partners to optimize tooling, materials, and assembly processes.
  • Promote and apply robust design-for-manufacture (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) practices throughout development.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and standards.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively across teams and leadership.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in product development, including 3+ years leading engineering teams or projects.
  • Proven success bringing consumer products from design through production launch.
  • Strong technical foundation in materials, mechanical design, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience collaborating with global suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in consumer goods, lifestyle, or outdoor product categories.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools, SolidWorks preferred.
