Job Description
Responsibilities:
Specify, develop, validate and install new equipment control systems
Leads the electrical design, development, and improvement of manufacturing control systems
Lead controls programmer for our HVAC assembly systems as well as individual assembly equipment.
This will include PLC programming using Allen-Bradley RSLogix5000 and FactoryTalkView as well as other HMI software.
Lead engineering interface with our supplying company that provides PC based label error proofing programming and support.
Lead controls programmer for our vision system implementations.
Travel of up to 25% of your time to equipment suppliers locally and within the United States can be expected. Travel to Mexico and internationally is possible, but not regular.
Qualifications
Skills / Education
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (any technical discipline / Electrical Engineering preferred)
At least 7 years of experience in an Manufacturing Controls Engineering (preferably with automotive background)
Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley RSLogix5000 PLC systems and FactoryTalkView HMI Programming
Working knowledge of machine communications via Ethernet/IP and LANs
High level computer skills
High level of analytical and problem solving skills
Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and equipment design
Previous experience with equipment controls design, development and implementation, including Safety Risk Assessment
Familiar with PLC & motion control programming and machine control standards
Experience with setup and implementation of Cognex and Keyence vision systems, smart
sensors, and barcode imagers
Experience in Automotive HVAC systems is a plus, but not necessary
