Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee all general ledger accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency within our accounting department. This is a leadership role requiring strong expertise in accounting, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage and develop a team while collaborating with stakeholders across the organization. The ideal candidate will also lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements, including automation opportunities, to streamline operations and enhance accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Statement Review - Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations - Conduct and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial accounts.

Staff Management - Lead and manage the accounting team, including mentoring, performance reviews, delegating tasks, and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented work environment.

Process Improvement - Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes, introducing automation and efficiency enhancements.

Collaboration - Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize financial systems, reporting tools, and processes.

Audit Support - Assist with external audit requirements and ensure timely completion of all audit activities.

Compliance - Ensure adherence to SOX internal controls and relevant accounting regulations.

Financial Insights - Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and reporting to leadership on trends, variances, and opportunities.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. CPA certification is highly desirable.
  • 5 years minimum progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. 
  • Audit experience at Big 4 or Mid-Tier accounting firm preferred
