Job Description

As the Marketing Writer you will be concepting, writing, editing, proofing, and analyzing content for all consumer, sales and advertising collateral. Our various channels include digital marketing, direct mail, and print advertising. You will be responsible for creating written content for our brands with input from our Editorial Group Director and VP of Marketing, while also working cross-functionally with our Design, Product Development, Sales, and Luxury Custom Travel departments. Your responsibilities will require you to lead content projects from conception to final copy, managing shifting priorities, multiple deadlines and numerous stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions

  • Creating engaging and original content for our various print and digital channels which include:
    • Concepting and developing copy for website, emails, sales material, press releases and blog stories, as well as creating ad copy for print, digital, social, native and banners
    • Generating and documenting multiple brand voices
    • Proofreading for voice, style and brand consistency
    • Writing creative briefs and other guiding documents as needed
    • Curating content from outside sources
    • Optimizing our content for web and search engines
  • Translating digital metrics and analytics into content solutions
  • Contributing to content marketing strategy and efforts
  • Collaborating with outside agencies (PR firm, branding and media agency among others) on brand messaging and content creation
  • Supporting the Digital Marketing Manager with website content management
  • Partnering with both project management to oversee workflow processes and design teams to develop cooperative solutions 

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and not afraid to take on responsibilities in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment with competing deadlines
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a keen focus on active listening and interpreting client, sales and marketing requests
  • Current on digital media and SEO best practices including experience deciphering metrics and analytics as they pertain to creative
  • Familiar with user and content testing, identifying metrics, measuring performance and applying analytics to writing decisions
  • Outstanding time management skills focused to meet deadlines and shift priorities as necessary
  • Relationship builder who can grow and maintain positive relationships 
  • Critical-thinker comfortable with making decisions based on relevant information and can seek out additional data when needed
  • Adept at identifying problems and working with team to come up with appropriate solutions
  • Able to adapt to changing work priorities and organizational needs

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant editorial or marketing experience, preferably in agency, travel or luxury good environment
  • A collaborative, solution-oriented approach to project planning and support
  • Content Management System (CMS) experience desired
