Job Description

TCS World Travel is looking for a full-time Luxury Custom Travel Consultant to join our growing Luxury Custom Travel team in Seattle, provide our guests the highest level of customer service and develop world-class, personalized travel experiences. The ideal candidate shares our passion for travel, is extremely detail-oriented and capable of juggling numerous tours at different stages. Polished and professional communication skills and previous experience working with high-end clientele is a must. Our ideal candidate is self-sufficient but simultaneously excels as part of a team and enjoys collaborating with a diverse group of guests, overseas agents, and other departments within the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Put together and sell tailor-made travel programs by creating and writing great trip proposals.
  • Service and maintain contact with individual guests who have booked custom travel services.
  • Assist with purchasing and communicating travel insurance.
  • Maintain daily records and bookings in our various reservation systems.
  • Follow through with time sensitive materials, acknowledge all payments and/or outstanding or late payments and answer all other inquiries from guests.
  • Create and maintain individual guest files.
  • Coordinate, proof read and prepare pre-departure written materials.
  • Create berthing lists for jets, ships and trains; prepare tickets, vouchers, labels, and other items as needed.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all travel products including destinations, modes of transportation, travel insurance, financial details, and extra services.
  • Negotiate hotel and land services as needed with overseas destination management companies.
  • Manage booking financials including invoices, payments and reporting. 
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years travel industry or event planning experience.
  • Well-traveled, either professionally or personally.
  • Excellent customer service skills to give our travelers the high level of service that they are expecting from TCS World Travel and Travcoa.
  • Professional and polished with strong verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Positive attitude and works well in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and trip files in various states of operation.
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • General accounting skills.
  • Salesforce and Softrip experience is a plus, but not required.
