Job Description

TCS World Travel is hiring a Content Writer. The Content Writer is responsible for writing, editing and proofing content for consumer, guest-facing, sales  and post-booking collateral, including direct mail and digital channels. This junior-level role has a degree of autonomy in writing, but takes direction from the Marketing writing teams, dividing time between marketing and documentation initiatives as needed. This role requires the ability to manage shifting priorities, multiple deadlines and numerous stakeholders. Our ideal candidate has professional or personal travel related copywriting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create compelling content for direct mail marketing, digital marketing and sales collateral
  • Write and edit brochures, website content, emails, blog posts, banner ads and more
  • Transform logistical information into timely, informative and actionable content for guests' post booking documentation
  • Synthesize guest messaging into engaging written materials
  • Proofread content for voice, style and brand consistency
  • Execute content marketing strategy and efforts
  • Identify and follow each brand’s voice and style guidelines
  • Partner with design team to develop cooperative solutions and cohesive storytelling

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of previous copywriting experience, preferably in travel industry
  • Experience writing for multiple brands and/or clients with distinctive voices
  • Outstanding time management skills focused to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to create and execute communication strategies in a highly cross functional environment
  • A collaborative, solution-oriented approach to project planning and support
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment
  • Willingness to be hands-on and do all levels of work and ‘pitch-in’ as needed
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a keen focus on active listening and interpreting client, sales, guest services and production requests/instructions
  • Some CMS experience preferable
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or other design software preferable
