Job Description

TCS World Travel is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join their team in Seattle. In addition to TCS, the Data Analyst will support two additional businesses, Zegrahm Expeditions and International Expeditions. The Data Analyst will act as the first point of contact for all business systems analytics, is responsible for supporting and driving user adoption for all systems, and will handle analytical reporting from business systems that include but are not limited to Salesforce, HubSpot, Softrip (Travel Reservation System) and the Data Warehouse. This role will involve working with all business departments and working with the Executive Team & Divisional Teams to ensure strategies are aligned.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective sales and marketing processes through all business data systems to improve operational and technological efficiencies.
  • Identify, scope out, prioritize and start up projects, manage the implementation & delivery of projects undertaking the role as an internal project manager.
  • Lead business requirements and long-term strategic marketing goals with strong understanding of broad IT architecture development.
  • Partner with individual business managers to ensure systems requirements aligns with business needs. Document requirements and validate solutions prior to development.
  • Manage the user training to improve user adoption of all systems, effectively through group training, individual training, task-based instructional media and documentation.
  • Direct work of vendors and other cross functional teams to create, manage and maintain the company's data quality.
  • Develop quality assurance procedures to ensure data integrity, identify systems errors in a timely manner, and communicate to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Advocate data quality through regular training, enforcing QA processes and regularly conducting data and process audits.
  • Identify opportunities for loyalty marketing within the data structure.
  • Work across all TCS brands and channels with vendors, suppliers, B2B customers and internal clients to ensure all marketing lists are delivered on time and (re) formatted correctly.
  • Partner with individual business managers to ensure systems development requirements aligns with business needs. Document requirements and validate solutions prior to development.
  • Track, analyze and make proactive recommendations for all business systems data to improve marketing results.

Qualifications

Basic Experience:

  • BA degree with 5-10 years’ experience in database marketing.
  • Experience in campaign management for direct marketing, including knowledge of best practices, procedures and operations related to a database-marketing environment.
  • 2+ years of experience doing hands-on analytics work.
  • 2+ years with Salesforce administration.
  • Proven ability to solve business problems and provide clear and analytically-supported solutions.
  • Excel – expertise in Power Query, Power Pivot and Power BI.
  • Great communication skills. Must have the ability to explain technical issues in easy to understand terms.

Preferred Experience:

  • Professional experience with test environments, including development/staging/production deployment cycles.
  • Certified Salesforce.com Administrator (ADM-201) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience using Salesforce data tools (Data Loader, Excel, Connector, Salesforce for Outlook).
  • Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users.
  • Basic release management and Agile Scrum experience.
  • Ability to understand the root of what is being asked for and provide solutions to the actual problem and not just the described symptoms.
