We're looking for a highly energetic and passionate junior and mid-level Software Engineer to join our top-notch engineering team. As a member of our team, you'll design and develop software that runs on Digital Reef's highly scalable grid computing platform.  Candidates must be local to the Boston area

* Develop robust and scalable software that runs across all levels of our software stack - within our UI, Service and Analytic tiers. This includes: importing and exporting data, searching indexes, generating reports, performing various advanced text analytic functions, web services, developing javascript UI applications, job scheduling, management components and application frameworks

* Participate in our Agile development process.

* Collaborate with Product Management and QA to refine user stories

* Participate in design reviews and code audits.

* Develop and perform unit and system level testing.

* Utilize source control management and bug tracking tools.

* Assist customer support activities

Candidates must be local to the boston area

BS in CS, EE or related discipline

*  Java development

* Problem solving and analytical skills

* Good object oriented design skills

* Good interpersonal skills

* Ability to work in a team development environment

Desired experience

* Application development experience in distributed, multi-tier web applications

* Development of applications that interface to relational databases

* Indexing and search technologies, especially Lucene

* Working with Linux as a target production system

* Unstructured text analytics

* Numerical analysis is a plus

* Machine Learning is a plus
