- Orientation Note: Our New Employee Orientations are held every other Wednesday, starting at 10:30am. You will need to attend the full day.
- Hourly Wage: $15.00/hr
- Status: Full Time; PM shift
- Schedule: 1-9pm, with an every-other weekend rotation

Job Description

We’re seeking an Activity Aide to involve residents in a therapeutic engagement program. You will help residents with life enrichment activities and a variety of entertainment options to help keep them engaged in their recovery programs. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in sports, culture, music, and traditional recreational activities, to help bring joy, structure, and stimulation to those in our care.
What You’ll Do
- ✅ Lead engaging group activities, ranging from fitness and games to music and arts
- ✅ Lead stimulating individual cognitive and memory retention events for our long-term residents
- ✅ You may be asked to drive and escort residents to off-site events utilizing our facility van
- ✅ Maintain accurate documentation in PointClickCare (EMR system)
- ✅ Collaborate with our health care teams to individualize your approach

Qualifications
Activities Aide (in other centers this may be called a Life Enrichment Coordinator)
- Prior experience as an Activity Aide in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Intermediate Care Facility (ICF), or Assisted Living Facility (ALF) is strongly preferred.
- Candidates with a current IL Drivers License and proof of auto insurance will be considered
- The ideal candidate is outgoing, compassionate, and skilled at creating a welcoming environment that encourages resident involvement and participation.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) or patient documentation systems is preferred.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
