About The Facility:

Under new leadership:  Transitional Care Management (TCM) now manages this Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) as of 9/1/2019.  Our goal is a focus on quality care and excellent customer service for the staff & the patients alike.  While we have many team members that have been with the center for several years, we are expanding.

Crestwood Terrace has 126 beds and is providing patient care to the mentally ill/behavior population (ages 21 and up).  We have a 5 Star Quality Measure rating and an engaging family-like team. 

Location:  This beautiful spot is across the street from a forest preserve and only 3 minutes from the 294/Cicero exit.

Building Maintenance / Handyman

Starting wage:  $15.00-$17.00/hour + benefits

Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday (7:00 am-3:30pm or 8:00 am-4:40 pm) with emergency call ins outside of work hours and Manager on Duty (MOD) weekend rotations are required.

What you'll do:

• Performing maintenance and light repairs
• Light Plumbing
• Perform fire drills
• Identify and report the need for major repairs
• Ensuring that all maintenance activities in a facility are appropriately carried out
• Keeping a record of all maintenance and service activities conducted
• Complying with all safety norms and regulations set by IDPH and the industry
• You should have experience with minor Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC repair and servicing needs.
• You should be comfortable working near/around medical patients.

What you'll need:  

• Minimum of two years of experience as a maintenance tech or handyman
• Experience with using tools and electrical equipment
• Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
• Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
• Ideally looking for someone seeking entry level management opportunity
• Experienced with IDPH survey requirements preferred
• You should have experience with minor Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC repair and servicing needs.
• Basic math skills
• Strong computer skills is must; we are a paperless environment
• Must have excellent communication skills, written & verbal, to be able to interact with our employees and residents in the facility

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  This is a physically demanding position that will involve frequently lifting and carrying objects of 50+ pounds.
