About the facility:

Transitional Care Management (TCM) manages this Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF). The goal of the facility is to prepare individuals to return to a more independent setting or return home with their families. While we have many team members that have been with the center for several years, we are expanding.

Kankakee Terrace has 146 beds and we provided rehabilitative treatment to individuals seeking to recover from their illness.  The Administrator often says, “Our focus is recovery and rehabilitation”.

Location:  The center is 2 miles from I-57 and just down the street from Snowbarger Athletic Park (& The Bears Training Camp).  It’s an easy commute.

Job Description

Business Office Manager (BOM)

*also called Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist or Bookkeeper

About the position:

Daily activities will include monitoring and managing all bookkeeping duties.  You will assist residents and families with the application and approval process for Public Aide / Medicaid, Medicare, SS and / or private insurance benefits.  AR projects will include timely collection of all accounts receivables, back-end collections and billing for Public Aide / Medicaid, Medicare and managed care accounts for our intermediate care facility. Under the direction of the Administrator, you will perform all Resident Trust Fund activities including disbursements and deposits. 


What we need from you:

  • Must possess a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) with a specific focus on collections and receivables with Public Aide/Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurances
  • Experience with Public Aide/Medicaid billing and collections is a must
  • Point Click Care (PCC) billing system experience preferred
