Job Description
In collaboration with the Senior Director, Communications, Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility, the communications advisor plays a key role in the development and execution of Transat’s internal and external communications. The advisor contributes to strategic planning and tactical implementation, ensures consistency across corporate communications, and acts as a shared resource within the team to support business units in delivering impactful communications initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement internal and external communication plans, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely execution.
- Write and produce a wide range of content, including press releases, Q&As, speeches, presentations, articles, and LinkedIn posts.
- Manage the corporate editorial calendar and ensure message alignment across internal and external communication channels.
- Conduct daily media monitoring, analyze coverage, and prepare media reviews and performance reports.
- Support the management of the corporate intranet and the creation of engaging content.
- Assist in coordinating corporate projects and events, including the annual meeting, employee town halls, and internal and external announcements.
- Collaborate with external partners and suppliers on joint announcements and special initiatives while ensuring the quality of deliverables.
- Support spokesperson preparation by coordinating logistics and briefing materials, and recommend improvements to tools, processes, and work methods, including the integration of artificial intelligence solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related role requiring strong execution skills.
- Excellent writing and storytelling abilities, with the capacity to quickly produce clear, structured, and audience-focused content.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, event coordination, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to translate information and data into actionable recommendations.
- An asset: experience in graphic design, visual content creation, or video editing.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and demonstrated ease with digital collaboration tools and AI solutions (e.g., Copilot). Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
- Oral and written fluency in French and English*
A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
