Job Description

In collaboration with the Supervisor, Groups, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating and managing group sales activities for Transat. They play a key role in achieving sales objectives by providing high-quality advisory services to travel agencies and partners, while maximizing revenues and maintaining the company's competitive position in the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain group pricing and availability, follow up on opportunities, and maximize group sales.
  • Achieve established sales targets and contribute to revenue growth within the groups segment.
  • Manage the entire group booking cycle, from quotation to file closure, while ensuring quality control.
  • Negotiate special agreements related to groups, events, conventions and familiarization trips.
  • Respond to travel agency inquiries regarding pricing, availability, products, and general group-related information.
  • Collaborate with key accounts and internal teams to ensure effective management of group sales.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities, promote Transat products and services, and process fare adjustment requests.
  • Participate in industry events, including trade shows, product launches, and familiarization trips, as required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
  • Two to three years of experience in the travel industry, including relevant experience in group sales.
  • Proven sales experience with demonstrated ability to develop business opportunities and close sales.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset, business acumen, understanding of financial concepts, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and demonstrated proficiency with collaborative digital tools and AI solutions (e.g., Copilot). Excellent knowledge of TTS as a strong asset.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
