Job Description

The Human Resources Technician supports the administrative management of employee files within their assigned client group. The incumbent provides day-to-day support to managers, employees, and the HR team, and acts as a resource person for questions related to human resources administration and employee benefit programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the administrative aspects of employee files for unionized and/or non-unionized employees in the SAP HR system
  • Enter, validate, and update employee personal and administrative data
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees, particularly with regard to employee benefits
  • Inform and guide employees on human resources policies, procedures, and programs
  • Administer employee benefit programs (group insurance, savings plans, travel benefits, etc.) in collaboration with internal and external partners
  • Produce, analyze, and distribute various HR reports (headcount, bank balances, administrative follow-ups, insurance interfaces)
  • Act as a point of contact for employees, managers, and internal and external partners regarding HR administrative matters

Qualifications

  • College diploma (DEC) in Human Resources, Administration, or a related field
  • Two to three years of relevant experience in human resources administration, employee benefits, or a related role
  • Experience in a unionized environment (an asset)
  • Knowledge of employee benefit programs (group insurance, savings plans, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time and priority management in a high-volume environment
  • Customer-oriented approach, autonomy, teamwork skills, and strong communication abilities
  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and demonstrated ease with collaborative digital tools and AI (e.g., Copilot)
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Oral and written fluency in French and English*

*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.

  • Work location: 300 Léo-Pariseau, Montréal
  • Hybrid work model: on-site presence required two (2) days per week
