Job Description
In collaboration with the Manager, Audit Programs, the Quality Assurance Auditor contributes to the monitoring of quality and safety by conducting audits related to the Safety Management System (SMS).
Responsibilities
- Conduct audits within assigned operational areas according to the audit plans established by the Manager, Audit Programs.
- Verify compliance with safety and quality assurance standards, regulatory requirements, and IOSA recommended practices (ISARPs).
- Develop or revise audit checklists.
- Identify non-conformities during inspections and recommend corrective actions.
- Document audit reports and findings in the ICARUS database.
- Follow up on corrective actions and validate their effectiveness in accordance with internal processes.
- Report immediately any non-conformity that violates company policies, procedures, or the Canadian Aviation Regulations.
Qualifications
- College or university degree in a related field.
- Experience in the aviation or aeronautical industry, particularly in flight operations.
- Experience as an internal auditor (asset).
- Experience with IOSA audits (asset).
- Pilot licence (asset).
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as diplomacy, tact, and impartiality.
- Excellent mastery of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and demonstrated comfort with digital collaborative tools and AI (e.g., Copilot).
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
- Oral and written fluency in French and English *A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
