Job Description
As the Specialist, IOC Business Processes and Training, you will be reporting to the Manager, IOC Training.
As a specialist, you will play a key role in developing and updating business processes and training programs for the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) teams, which include flight dispatchers, the Maintenance Control Center, the Departure Control Center, the Passenger Support Service, operational support (liaison agents), crew scheduling coordinators, senior planners, flight planners, duty managers, and network controllers.
Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in all aspects of the IOC.
- Prepare, coordinate, and deliver IOC training programs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for the coordination, preparation, development, and dissemination of the IOC training programs.
- Ensure that training programs meet regulatory and corporate requirements and objectives.
- Act as a training instructor and coach.
- Train, evaluate, and mentor the instructors from each IOC team to ensure consistency in training delivery and compliance with approved programs.
- Develop and update IOC procedures and manuals.
- Develop and maintain a cross-functional view of business functions and process flows, synthesizing and explaining the interrelationships between systems and business practices.
- Develop implementation plans, support teams in the integration of changes, and act as an advisor in the evaluation of task ownership and mastery.
- Develop and implement KPIs (key performance indicators).
- Perform any other related tasks assigned by the Manager, IOC Training.
Qualifications
- College diploma in a related field or equivalent.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in the aviation industry, including at least 2 years in procedure writing, manuals, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience as an instructor, manager, or supervisor (an asset).
- Strong ability to interpret policies, guidelines, and regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of RAC 705 standards.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with flexible schedules.
- Knowledge of computer-based training, learning management systems, and blended learning.
- Proven leadership in setting objectives and deadlines with various departments.
- Ability to adapt to different people, ways of thinking, and work styles.
- Oral and written fluency in French and English *
- Autonomy, resourcefulness, and initiative.
- Experience in project management and change management (an asset).
- Experience in the IOC or SOCC (an asset).
Additional Information
*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
