Job Description
As a travel professional, you will be responsible for helping our customers plan and book their dream vacation. You'll work closely with our customers to understand their travel needs and preferences, and use your expertise to recommend destinations, itineraries and accommodations that meet their expectations.
Here are the activities that will fill your day:
- Advise clients on travel options offered by our various partners;
- Network and promote new travel business and grow your repeat client base;
- Meet established monthly and yearly sales and revenue targets;
- Quickly determine specific client needs and source solutions using all tools available;
- Sell travel packages in all product categories including the preparation of complex itineraries using various booking platforms (Apollo; Sirev);
- Be alert to changing trends; customer needs and be able to adapt the services to the client’s needs even when difficult circumstances arise.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years sales experience within a retail environment and consistently meet sales targets;
- Ability to influence through effective sales and prospecting techniques while building friendly and positive business relationships;
- Advanced communication skills combined with an outgoing and energetic nature;
- Experience leveraging social media and learning new software quickly;
- Demonstrates flexibility in work schedule, available to work outside of normal business hours to attend trade shows, conventions, and business events or to complete any agreed upon task;
- The willingness to obtain your TICO or OPC for agencies in QC certification if you do not already have it.
