Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Director, Training and Cabin Standards, and working alongside the Specialist, Cabin Standards and Communication, the incumbent will work as a subject matter expert to answer cabin standards questions, follow up on corrective action, and draft communications to cabin crew.

Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for cabin standards in various aircraft types, cabin equipment, and the regulatory compliance of cabin standards and equipment.
  • Manage the cabin safety and standards aspect of projects concerning new aircraft and equipment.
  • Liaise with other departments and units regarding equipment issues, including implementation of new products.
  • Liaise with other departments, units and companies to ensure that cabin layouts and equipment information is consistent with the aircraft manufacturer manuals and conform to regulatory requirements; update procedures accordingly.
  • Schedule cabin inspection for new aircraft and aircraft returning from C-check.
  • Conduct importation inspection before adding an aircraft to the fleet, as necessary.
  • Respond to cabin safety questions daily.
  • Monitor recurring issues, conduct investigations, and ensure follow-up/corrective action; develop or edit work tools based on findings.
  • Regularly review and update the Flight Attendant Manual (FAM), the Cabin Standards Manual (CSM), announcements, training programs, etc., with respect to aircraft cabin procedures and equipment.
  • Conduct regular in-flight or ground inspections to assess the quality of procedures and equipment.
  • Perform any other duties related to cabin standards and training.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • Three years’ experience in project management or equivalent.
  • Three years’ flight attendant experience
  • Strong ability to interpret policies, guidelines and regulations.
  • Bilingualism (English and French), spoken and written.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Forms, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to efficiently execute projects on time.
  • Ability to problem solve and advocate for compliance
  • Exceptional attention to detail and meticulous documentation and reporting practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

The workplace is at the head office (5959 côte vertu) and telework in hybrid mode is possible.
