Job Description
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on Air Transat's ground equipment and heavy and light vehicles.
- Diagnose breakdowns on company trucks and vehicles.
- Perform preventive maintenance on conventional and diesel engines;
- Carry out mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs on various equipment;
- Perform various welding tasks;
- Perform all other related tasks.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the heavy vehicle mechanic are :
- Training in vehicle mechanics or equivalent;
- Experience in the mechanical field
- Bodywork experience with welding skills (mig and tig),
- Experience and good skills as a painter;
- Experience in electrical troubleshooting and blueprint reading an asset
- Strong desire to learn all facets of the trade
- Team spirit, resourcefulness, ability to meet tight deadlines and attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of propane, electric, diesel and gas-powered equipment;
- MOT card (Transport Canada Pass)
- Valid class D driver's license.
- Ability to obtain RAIC card and DA drivers permit (Airport pass from Transport Canada);
