Job Description

The Lead Auditor participates in the monitoring of quality, safety and security by managing the ground audit program.  He established and coordinates the calendar, participates in some audits and ensures that the work is carried out to standard and withing the agreed dealines.

Responsibilities

 

  • Prepares the ground operations audits schedule, taking into account the identifed risks, the IOSA, security and cargo requirements.
  • Collaborates with the representatives of Ground Operations, Security and Cargo in the preparation of the audits schedule.  Maintains close relationship with them.
  • Coordinates with our Station Representatives the preparatory audit activities such as the access to restricted areas.
  • Supports the Auditor, Ground Operations in the preparation, execuiton and follow-up of assigned audits.
  • Performs audits, about 50% of his time.
  • Ensures compliance with Air Transat quality assurance, safety and security standards as well as with regulatory requirements and IOSA recommended practices and standards (ISARPs).
  • Submits recommendations to prevent recurrence of deviations identified during audits.
  • Ensure that any anomalies found during a compliance inspection that contravene company policy and procedures or the Canadian Aviation Regulation are reported immediately.
  • Assists the involved departments during the audits of the Authorities and other external organization.
  • Assists the Director, Quality Assurance in the performance of his duties and  accomplish any other Quality Assurance projects and activities assigned by her.

 

Qualifications

 

  • College Diploma or University degree in a related field;
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in the aviation industry; specifically in ground operations or cargo operations;
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience as an Auditor;
  • A Lead Auditor certification is an asset;
  • Experience in ISAGO or IOSA audits an asset;
  • Available to travel frequently;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, diplomacy, tact, impartiality;
  • Languages: French / English (bilingual), oral and written;
  • Computer skills: MS Office Suite, QPulse.
