Job Description

As the Analyst, Specialist, Safety Management System (SMS), you will be actively participating in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the aviation safety management system.

  • Conduct the annual analysis of the Hazard Register and coordinate the required activities to update the Safety Risk Profile and the safety objectives.
  • Measure and communicate the Safety Performance Indicators (SPI) through the establishment of evolving dashboards.
  • Facilitate the bimonthly Safety Case Meeting and document the analysis.
  • Participate in various projects related to flight safety.
  • Propose and implement improvements to existing procedures and processes.
  • Manage the Safety Software as the main administrator and provide advices on its utilization to the Flight Safety, Security, Quality and Health and Safety teams.
  • Work closely with other members of the Flight Safety team.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Director, Flight Safety.

Qualifications

  • College Diploma in a related field or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in aviation;
  • Knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs);
  • Excellent knowledge of Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS);
  • Knowledge of bowties is an asset;
  • Knowledge of IOSA is an asset;
  • Statistical skills;
  • Autonomous and analytical.
  • Bilingual: French and English, oral and written;
  • Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
