Trainline is an innovative, tech business with a mission to bring together the world’s rail, coach and other travel services into one simple experience. We aim to make travel easier and more accessible, encouraging people to make more environmentally sustainable travel choices. We’re hugely proud to be the world’s leading independent rail and coach travel platform and rank among the highest-rated travel and ticketing apps globally. Today, we offer our customers travel to thousands of destinations in and across 45 countries in Europe and beyond. That’s more than £3.7 billion in ticket sales annually, and over 90 million visits to our apps and websites each month. In another major milestone, Trainline listed on the London Stock Exchange in June 2019 and is now part of the FTSE 250.
Our culture is central to our success. We’re driven to sustain our phenomenal growth from recent years, and this means we’re always working closely and collaboratively to turn our ideas into reality. It’s this sense of pace, innovating and improving pretty much everything we do, that makes Trainline so exciting and unique - we truly believe our work has a genuine impact and will change travel for the better.
This is fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress their product career and take on some significant challenges and help accelerate our business as we continue to grow in global markets for both B2C and B2B. If you are passionate about product management and are looking for an opportunity to work with seasoned leaders in an ambitious, market-leading tech organisation, then this opportunity is for you!
Trainline’s Platform One supports all our customer propositions across B2C, Branded Business Travel, B2B Distribution, TOC Partner Solutions and Supply Integrations, on multiple channels including web, app, external APIs, and agent tooling for both in-house customer support and external B2B customers. This role is responsible for the European Supply Integration within Platform One, a key enabler to creating the world’s #1 rail platform and driving our purpose to empower greener travel choices.
The International Supply teams currently have 17 live connections to different vendors supporting over 250 carriers across Europe with our key focus on growth markets France, Italy, Germany, and Spain. There are 5 engineering squads taking responsibility for maintaining and building new integrations, the translations and carrier reference data, and the business logic that is used by other teams across Trainline. The teams connect with vendor APIs to integrate with operations for search, reserve, purchase, fulfil, refund and exchange to shield the rest of Trainline from the complexity created by multiple suppliers. They are also integral in the Trainline ecosystem to support finance activities such as reporting, VAT and settlement.
Trainline’s Supply OKRs for Platform One are focused on speed, quality, stability, completeness of content, and enabling other teams to develop and optimize features built on top of our integrations. Also critical to the success in this role is close collaboration and support in building relationships with our suppliers.
This role has responsibility for 2 squads. Engineering teams are based in Paris and London offices with additional offshore support in India, Portugal and elsewhere. Travel is encouraged in order to build great relationships with engineers, business partners and suppliers across Europe.
