Job Description

The key purpose of this role is the delivery of a robust month end process, including timely production of all corporate and statutory reporting requirements across a range of areas including sales, revenue, fulfilment and customer service.  This role will therefore require close working relationships with other department heads, including the London and Paris finance teams. 

We are looking for someone who is confident in a fast-paced environment, possess strong technical skills and a can-do attitude.  The role has plenty of opportunity to get involved in one off projects and new challenges driven by changing demands.

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Ensure all month end reporting and supporting performance analysis is completed and reviewed within strict timeframes. 
  • Prepare group and individual entity month end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparation of complex calculations and journal entries, including multi-currency transactions.
  • Proactively work with business stakeholders to forecast key cost and cash drivers, on an ongoing basis. 
  • Contribute towards UK carrier accounting entries and cash settlement processes.
  •  Assist the team with external and internal audit visits.  Collation of interim and year end audit requirements.

Finance Business Partner

  • Proactively create and promote partnerships with business units. Provide all relevant financial support and analysis to assist in decision making.
  • Be able to enquire, express opinion and provide feedback constructively and with confidence.

Process & Controls Champion

  • Proactively work with other key finance stakeholders to define and implement new financial reporting processes that are well controlled and provide insightful commercial information.
  • Implement (where required), review and update process documentation to ensure internal controls framework remains robust, accurate and complete. 

Qualifications

  • Qualified CA/ACCA/CIMA with 0-2 PQ years’ industry experience, with strong financial accounting experience.
  • Experience operating with an enterprise wide, integrated finance system across multiple business units.
  • Decisive and confident in operating autonomously on a regular basis, positive, self-reliant, open-minded and enthusiastic attitude.  Confident in a fast paced, change environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent written and oral skills
