Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Clerk will work within a team of 7 and report to the Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager within the Financial Controls team.  They will be part of a small Accounts Receivable & Billing team, managing Customer accounts, monitoring credit risk and ensuring completion of day-to-day tasks within the Accounts Receivable function. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Sales Ledger and ensure credit control procedures are followed
  • Allocate payments and proactively chase outstanding debt
  • Run credit checks and monitor Customer credit limits
  • Process weekly Direct Debit collections
  • New Customer set-ups and amendments
  • Customer reconciliations
  • Respond to external and internal queries via shared mailbox
  • Ensure timely completion of AR and Billing Month End close
  • Other ad-hoc finance tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable or Credit Control role
  • Ability to liaise with customers to promptly resolve queries
  • Good Microsoft Office suite experience, particularly Word and Excel skills
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage own workloads
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proactive with a desire to continuously improve processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player with excellent attention to detail
