Job Description

Role

We’re looking for a UX Researcher to join our UX Team in Copenhagen. You will be joining a 10-person team comprised of UX Researchers, UX Architects, UI- and UX Designers.

As a UX Researcher in Tradeshift, you will work closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and directly with our customers. You will help our team create compelling and effective experiences through data-informed human understanding and design.

You’ll be responsible for providing stakeholders with thoughtful guidance, to collaboratively turn abstract business needs into actionable research questions. You will then lead research projects end to end (plan, design, execute, and communicate findings and recommendations). As part of your definition of done, you define success metrics and work with colleagues to measure the experience, so that stakeholders can prioritize the product roadmap accordingly.

We solve complex and nuanced problems, and are looking for an operations-minded researcher to help shape our approach as we go.
In an effort to turn Tradeshift into an even more listening organization, you will work with senior leaders to elevate the level of user understanding, increasing adoption and action around our insights. As part of that, you will contribute to internal research processes such as user panel management, participant recruitment, documentation and distribution of findings.

What a day is like

You will be working out of our Copenhagen office as the point of contact for different teams’ research needs – from larger foundational and generative projects to evaluative, tactical, and investigative quick wins. In your delivery, you combine big picture thinking with the nitty-gritty details of our customers’ workflow.

Self-guided as you are, you will assess research requests and select the right tools and methods for the job, conducting mixed-methods of research such as interviews, usability testing, concept testing, surveys, fieldwork, etc.

You will follow and deliver research work aligned to the UX research process that has been created and maintained by the UX Department.

Qualifications

You’re perfect for this role if you:

There is no such thing as a perfect candidate! We value diverse skill sets and are always looking for team members who we can coach, and who can coach us. Even if you don’t hit all the marks, please connect with us and let's talk. Preferably we’d like to review a research portfolio of your most recent work.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in human behavior related field (e.g. Social Sciences, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science)

  • 3+ years experience in applied product research, preferably on B2B

  • Experience with qualitative research methods (e.g. interviews, observation, think-aloud usability testing)

  • Strong verbal, written and numerical communication skills are required - presenting information concisely and effectively to people at all levels of the organization is critical

  • You speak and write English fluently

  • You demonstrate a strong commitment to quality work, and you’re comfortable with and capable of saying no when needed

  • Ability to successfully manage project prioritization and stakeholder relationships independently

  • Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional alignment around jobs-to-be-done and customer journeys based on insights

  • A structured and analytical approach to your work; you are organized, can work to a defined process and you actually have a plan for reaching the finish line

  • You can work successfully with constraints (limited resources, industry-specific regulations, etc.), adapt and quickly find successful workarounds when necessary to meet project goals

  • You have a growth mindset, seeing feedback as a chance to grow
