But to be able to disrupt the market, we need to understand the needs and challenges of our target market, the solutions and process they run today, and how to excite the market toward a future of possibilities with Tradeshift. To help us with this we are looking for a research professional to work within our product marketing team to help guide the team’s strategic direction. 

Job Description

Role

  • Develop, conduct and manage market, competitive and user research leveraging syndicated research and internal primary research data. 
  • Set the research strategy, define the research gaps, execute, and communicate the results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and lead the competitive intelligence program at Tradeshift
  • Develop a repository to document all the market intelligence outputs for easy retrieval. Investigate emerging markets and technology and drive audience/industry/category specific thought leadership.
  • Partner with marketing, research/UX and product organizations to understand consumer needs and product use cases, define brand positioning, develop audiences, improve product-market fit, execute go-to-market plans, and optimize/improve marketing communications to achieve business objectives
  • Design and carry out qualitative and quantitative research projects to help validate strategies as well as develop a shared understanding of our key audiences.
  • Create and execute a plan to document and publish customer success stories.

What a day is like:
Be the subject matter expert on market and competitive trends and build compelling presentations and materials to communicate developments to internal stakeholders such as sales, customer success, marketing and executives.

Qualifications

You’re perfect for this role if you:

  • 3-5 years of experience working with research within the B2B SaaS space.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to identify best methods for research considering best practices and availability of resources.
  • Good communicator verbally and in writing with the ability to simplify complex results and share findings meaningfully to a variety of different stakeholders. 
  • Self-driven and ambitious: you thrive in a fast-paced, innovative and high-growth technology environment.
  • Ability to execute on research projects fast without compromising rigor. 
  • Ability to prioritize projects effectively, juggling multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Start-up and team-mentality with an open mindset and willingness to step in on projects when needed, also when they fall outside of your core areas of work. 
  • Eager to constantly learn new things with a curious and bold attitude.
  • Relevant university degree.
  • Supply chain or enterprise payments domain experience is a big plus.
