Tradeshift is looking for a seasoned Internal Communications & Content Manager with wit, imagination, project management skills, and a deep understanding of what makes people feel engaged. The Communications & Content Manager will create and distribute the information and stories your coworkers talk about, shaping Tradeshift culture through our brand-new employee app to reach all Tradeshifters.

That’s why we’re looking for an Internal Communications & Content Manager to help tell the internal stories that support our company narrative around the world, across all of our offices.

You’re perfect for this role if you have a keen ability to write, prioritize and edit internal newsletter-type news stories and create content. You like the challenge of writing on a variety of topics, from birthday cake updates to round E investment summaries, and you can switch between styles in an instant. You feel comfortable as you draft or shape stories about who we are, what we do and what we stand for, and you can turn (somewhat complex) stories and information related to Tradeshift innovations into compelling, short copy that informs and helps educate employees about the strategy and business, culture and their role in delivering results.

You’re experienced with CMSs and you have a strong understanding of the technical and production side of creating content. You have a social media mind—you love putting together and making on-the-fly videos, putting photos into a narrative, you’re app-savvy, and you get how to compel readers with bite-sized content. You’re also an experienced, collaborative project manager who’s the perfect blend of detail-oriented and results-driven. You love to collaborate and excel at working closely with multiple, global teams. You’re excited about helping to create a content strategy for an internal app from the ground up.

  • Report to Director of Strategic Communications and collaborate with the Strategy & Process team, the Brand team, and the executive team
  • Help build a content strategy for our new internal app and execute on it swiftly
  • Manage submissions process and review, edit and share submitted stories that meet requirements
  • Create stories with words, photos, and videos that inspire and excite employees, using copywriting or journalistic best practices
  • Drive our app’s content strategy, manage projects on your own with multiple stakeholders, and keep posts from yourself and others on schedule
  • Ensure content is on-brand, with a consistent style, quality and tone

Qualifications

  • 5+ years copywriting or journalism experience
  • Proven track record with content strategy and creation
  • Extraordinary writing, editing, proofreading and punctuation skills that brings content from okay to great
  • Strong project management skills
  • Social media skills
  • Experience working with an established brand and within a style guide
  • A strong sense of initiative, attention to detail and the ability to be flexible and work under pressure, while juggling and meeting multiple deadlines
  • A self-starter and a solid team player who owns his or her success metrics
  • Comfortable working in a rapidly evolving global company environment
  • Fantastic people skills: you find satisfaction in collaborating with and helping others
  • Knowledge of B2B / financial technology preferred
  • B.A. in English, Writing, Marketing, Journalism or similar preferred
