The Town of Stony Plain is the local government authority responsible for planning and delivering municipal services in Stony Plain, a Canadian urban community of approximately 18,000 people on the traditional Indigenous lands of Treaty 6 peoples.

The Town of Stony Plain is currently recruiting a temporary part-time Recycling Centre Attendant. Reporting to the Utilities Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintaining the recycling depot and surrounding landscaping, welcoming and assisting residents, and providing education on proper recycling practices. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working outdoors, thrives in a physically active environment, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service to the community.

Education and Experience:

• A minimum of one year of experience in a customer service orientated environment.
• Must hold a valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License.

This is a temporary position with an end date of December 31st, 2026. This position will work on an alternating bi-weekly schedule (56 hours every two weeks), including some weekends. In accordance with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 955 Collective Agreement, the hourly wage range is $21.97 per hour.
