An experienced viticulturist is sought by a newly developed 40 acre, 67000 vine, vineyard near Henley. The successful applicant will assume overall management 

responsibilities leading to the successful production of a fine sparkling wine. It is expected that 

the first harvest will be within the next 2 years and therefore this is a key role for the owners to 

ensure that the vines are grown to exacting standards in order to produce a high yield. 

He/she will execute and manage all farming activities including irrigation, soil preparation, 

planting, fertilizing, pesticide application and harvesting. You will be responsible for inspecting 

the vineyards to determine maturity dates of crops and estimating potential crop damage from 

inclement weather. 

Good man-management skills are imperative along with experience of budgeting and 

forecasting. It essential that you have demonstrable previous experience of working within a 

similar role and have a suitable horticulture qualification along with a chemical application 

license.
