Job Description

Responsible for running 18 pocket inserting machines and other inserting equipment in our facility along with maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting equipment, ensuring safe and reliable use by staff. Reporting into the Operations Manager and our Alphaliner Supervisor. The working schedule is Sunday to Wednesday 7:00am until 7:00pm

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently oversee the general operation of machine and equipment to ensure safe productivity
  • Efficiently manage products through material handling and exhibit continuous good house keeping
  • Communicate production status-reports to Sr. Operator and log all service activity and production output
  • Address mechanical needs of machinery including maintenance, repair, and troubleshoot
  • Able to take initiate and can work with minimal supervision in a team-based environment
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a productive team
  • Assist in the general operation of machinery including insertion of flyers
  • Complete all duties in accordance with our Health and Safety policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Opportunity to grow into a Senior Operator through our in-house training program  

Qualifications

  • Minimum of High School diploma an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrate positive leadership skills and qualities to motivate your team
  • On the job training provided  
  • Detail oriented in a fast-paced team environment with opportunities to build positive team relationships
  • Ability to lift to 35 lbs. and stand for an extended period with ease
  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills in a team environment

Compensation
