Job Description

Metroland's Toronto Distribution Centre is currently providing an opportunity for a full-time Shipper/Receiver. This position will be responsible for all general shipping and receiving duties, as well as administrative duties and coordinating the Traffic Department.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Wrapping and staging completed products off press 
  • Loading/unloading trucks as needed 
  • Complete and verify Bill of Lading precisely 
  • Ensure completed products are labeled accurately 
  • Complete all duties in accordance with our Health and Safety policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Qualifications

  • Minimum of High School diploma an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook 
  • On the job training provided 
  • Forklift equipment certificate is preferred; training/certification will be provided 
  • Detail oriented in a fast-paced team environment with opportunities to build positive team relationships 
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. and stand for an extended period with ease 
  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills in a team environment
