Job Description

The Senior Marketing Manager of B2B marketing will report to the Vice President of Marketing for Torstar and will be responsible for lead generation and nurturing for our advertiser client base. As such, you will work closely with the small business sales leadership while reporting to the head of marketing as the decision maker.

You will be responsible for developing marketing lifecycle programs with the objective of retaining and growing new client revenue.

As a Member Of Our Team You Will

  • Develop marketing campaigns that will drive awareness of Torstar’s brands and products
  • Promote our value proposition in marketing messages and campaigns to nurture existing clients and generate new leads
  • Promote new advertising products, self service capabilities or new features and functionalities aligned with sales and business objectives
  • Support the production of  content to drive engagement among our client base
  • Own and optimize our B2B website, ensuring content is up to date and relevant.  Design and launch product enhancements and ensure the website service levels are achieved
  • Onboard new clients over their first 30 days to ensure they are satisfied that they made the right decision to partner with Torstar
  • Build trigger-based programs across a client’s lifecycle, including but not limited to winning back inactive clients and changes in frequency of spend or use of different products
  • Build processes and business cases to use the most appropriate mix of channels such as email, inbound sales and/or outbound telemarketing
  • Use data analytics along with test and learn strategies when using paid media to provide strong return on investment (i.e. LinkedIn)
  • Participate in building budgets and forecasts for revenue and operating expenses related to this role
  • Leverage functionality within Salesforce to effectively and efficiently target clients based on industry vertical, geography, demographics, spend levels, etc
