Job Description

  • Determine, evaluate, test and support the implementation of key security controls for IAM and PAM (especially on applications and cloud environments - AWS, Azure, On-premise) and analyze the resulting impact on security posture
  • Lead end-to-end security architecture designs for IAM solutions and serve as a critical control point in the continuous evaluation of identity controls.
  • Support the Business and Technical Analysts involved in the implementation of solutions, from a technical, tactical and strategy perspective
  • Understand and improve the internal security operational processes with the introduction of new security controls
  • Identify where change is required (development of a Gap mitigation plan) in order to keep the Security Architecture vital, sustainable and ready to support business capabilities.
  • Responsible for evaluating security technologies/tools, automating security tasks, continuous monitoring activities (analyzing scan/vulnerability assessment findings, defining and testing remediation steps and tracking vulnerabilities through to remediation implementation),
  • Research, assess and analyze intrusion events and prevention utilizing anomaly detection tools.
  • Follow pre-defined procedures to respond to and escalate incidents.
  • Conducts system containment, remediation steps and recovery procedures.
  • Use threat reporting and/or the hypothesis-driven method to create, scope and execute threat hunts.
  • Perform endpoint, network, cloud-native log analysis, correlating events in both proactive hunt activities and reactive response.
  • Support programs to develop, maintain and govern the network and security architecture across Torstar to ensuring continuous and healthy operation of an inhouse managed security operation center.
  • Assist in security audits, penetration-tests, and vulnerability assessments and help to meet the compliance of security framework and standard from network perspective

Qualifications

  • 5 - 7 year’s experience in similar role
  • Hands on experience with AWS, Azure and extensive understanding of their native security tools and architecture.
  • Experience in designing secure networks and endpoint systems
  • Experience with both migrations from on-prem to the cloud and cloud-native adoption.
  • Infrastructure and Networking experience will be an add advantage
  • Demonstrated experience working with NIST, ISO, PCI frameworks
  • CISSP and/or other technical cloud-related security certificate will be considered an asset.
