Torstar Syndication Services (TSS) manages a diverse portfolio of sales operations and third-party service contracts for Torstar publications and websites that generate articles, photos, illustrations, video, podcasts and archival content. TSS is the licensing agent for all Torstar editorial content and brand assets, which include The Toronto Star, the Hamilton Spectator and 5 other Ontario regional dailies; and all Metroland community publications, Torstar digital publications, and magazines. TSS also manages long-term content partnerships which include Getty Images, Canadian Press and King Features Syndicate.

Job Description

This is an administrative support role with some financial reporting responsibilities, reporting directly to TSS Marketing & Projects Specialist.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Administer centralized process workflows
  • Coordination support for Syndicate revenue projects
  • Manage shared TSS resource databases
  • Provide account coordination and support for key TSS accounts, including New York Times IW and Starweek
  • Create customized financial reporting and analysis as required
  • Provide administrative support for the TSS team
  • Provide direct customer support for third-party aggregation clients
  • Manage third-party digital aggregation contracts
  • Manage third-party contracts and regular reporting

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree
  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel (pivot tables), PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Detail-oriented, nimble problem-solving, sound judgment and a stickler for accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and interpersonal
  • Superior organizational and time management skills – able to manage multiple projects at once
  • A self-starter comfortable working in a collaborative, high-paced environment
  • Financial account reporting skills
  • Past experience working in a business admin or admin support role an asset
