Circulation Business Analyst

Reporting to the Circulation Data Manager, this position will play a key role in the day-to-day analytics operations of Torstar print properties through tracking creation, testing implementations, daily reporting and working with the analytics team to support sales, operations, and finance in the daily circulation division.

Job Description

 WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO:

Building and publishing useful reports for various parts of the organization.

Act as an expert on analytics; provide support and guidance to other users.

Work closely with the development team, circulation sales and operation teams to produce insightful data reports and build recurring reporting processes.

Support implementation of various systems tools or upgrades to existing systems.

 

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU:

Experience with data-management systems, working with large data-sets and creating reporting surrounding the data.

Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to relay data concepts to non-data audiences and explain analytics with context.

Demonstrated ability to solve problems.

Be customer-service oriented and have a can-do attitude

Excellent attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize.

Highly motivated independent worker.

Experience with working in SQL data bases using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Crystal reports, MS Access and Microsoft suite of tools such as Excel and software such as Python or equivalent.

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to Torstar internal data base systems.
