Torn Banner studios recently launched Chivalry 2, the sequel to our multi-million copy selling original. We are a small independent video game studio of around 60 developers in Toronto and we love creating innovative new experiences that focus on challenge and fun.

Job Description

As part of our team, you will work face to face with development on a daily basis to help create and test features from concept to release.

As a development tester you will be responsible for the quality of assigned features as well as contributing towards larger team goals. You must be able to take test cases and execute them, write concise bugs, and help to identify testing needs and quality expectations. Additionally, you will be expected to be able to support certain areas of development. 

Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases to a level that provides respective departments with confidence that a feature is ready for shipping
  • Maintain a high written quality of bugs
  • Help build test cases
  • Be able support Senior Testers when required
  • Work as a member of QA that includes both internal dev and outsourcing teams
  • Provide constructive feedback on features in development, contributing to final design

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Strong ability to work as a member of a team
  • Able to quickly transition between different tasks and projects
  • Knowledge of both PC and Console gaming
  • Knowledge of online multiplayer games
  • Eager to learn new skills

Bonus

  • Previous experience with multiplayer/network testing
  • Professional experience in beta testing or patch testing with live games
  • Previous experience working with offsite testers
