Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist for a temporary assignment of 3 to 6 months, available to start immediately. In this hands-on role you take ownership of the daily procurement cycle end-to-end: placing and tracking purchase orders in SAP, managing incoming requests through Jira, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining demand forecasts all while keeping our supply chain running at full speed.
Procurement operations & order management
- Monitor open purchase orders, backorders and delayed deliveries.
- Execute daily purchasing activities required to support new sales demand.
- Maintain purchase orders and confirmations, delivery dates, lead times, due-date control.
- Place orders based on stock status, lead times, sales forecasts and agreed KPIs.
- Manage stocked and non-stocked materials to ensure availability and cost efficiency.
SAP data maintenance & ticket handling (Jira)
- Update procurement-related data in SAP to ensure accurate planning and execution.
- Prioritise and resolve a high volume of internal requests via Jira from Sales, Service and Logistics.
Buying & supplier coordination
- Follow up with suppliers on delivery schedules; identify and escalate recurring issues.
- Analyse quotations and negotiate terms; recommend process improvements.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies, delivery issues and order inconsistencies.
Demand planning & inventory monitoring
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts to avoid shortages or surplus stock.
- Define inventory parameters: order moments, safety stock and reorder levels.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate logistics for on-time delivery.
- Track and report procurement and inventory KPIs.
Qualifications
- BSc in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Administration.
- Hands-on experience with SAP procurement & order management.
- Experience in demand forecasting and inventory monitoring.
- Familiar with ticket-based workflows (e.g. Jira).
- NEVI 1 preferred; CPSM/CPPM is a plus.
- Strong English communication skills; Dutch is a plus.
- Immediately available for a 3–6 month assignment.
